Nepenthes macfarlanei would be formidable contender for the most underappreciated Nepenthes species in the genus
Nepenthes inermis seems to have strong genes so I'd expect this cross to be purple with some toothiness and shape influenced heavily by inermis

This cross has proved to be outstanding for us. We've grown it outdoors and in greenhouses ranging from lowland to highland. The pitcher are very dimorphic, being large with a flared peristome when in the lower stage and then exhibiting a more lowi esque form in the uppers. The specimen for sale is around 2' across
