Edwardian Wide Engraved Band Platinum, size 6.25 c. 1900 bezel set Signed 'DOWNS'This is fascinating antique band and I wish we knew more of its history! Made in the Edwardian period circa 1900, possibly earlier, this band has faceted segments that are engraved with either "CBA" or "JEF", indicating it was a wedding band. The interim segments are engraved with alternating roses and shamrocks. It is VERY unusual to see a band of this style made in platinum and the romance of the engraving is so incredibly romantic.
