Genlisea hispidula, is a perennial, terrestrial Corkscrew Plant with small, spatulate rosette leaves. In their habitat, they typically grow in nutrient poor, peaty wetlands or sandy seeps. In culture, they prefer sandy peat that is constantly moist, and occasional flooding. The small flowers appear in Spring, and are violet blue with a yellow tinge.
